MEMBERS WHO JOINED IN 2019

The ILO Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN) is a unique employer-led initiative that works to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in workplaces around the world.

Our members include multinational enterprises, national business and disability networks, and international not-for-profit and disabled people’s organisations. Through their work, our members demonstrate the clear business benefits of employing people with disabilities and highlight the valuable contributions they bring workplaces of all kinds.

In 2015, the GBDN introduced its Charter which commits the company signatories to support its 10 principles which provide a framework towards full disability inclusion. The Charter is the core document of the GBDN and it serves as a map to guide the companies to reach both business success and equal opportunity and inclusion for persons with disabilities in the workplace.

“Making the Future of Work Inclusive of People with Disabilities”

- CONFERENCE -

New forces are transforming the world of work: Technological development. Climate change. Demographic shifts. Globalization.

These transitions call for decisive action.

The conference on 21 and 22 November 2019, at the ILO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, brought about 300 representatives from business, public sector, the United Nations, DPOs and NGOs together to discuss how companies can shape a world of work which fully harnesses the potential people with disabilities offer.
